About

Built for one small but annoying photo problem

heic-to-jpg.app exists because HEIC is useful on modern phones, but JPG is still the format that many forms, editors, marketplaces, and support portals expect.

What this site does

The site converts HEIC and HEIF photos into JPG copies directly in the browser. It is meant for ordinary situations: sending a photo to someone who cannot open HEIC, uploading images to a form, preparing product photos, or making a batch of JPGs from an iPhone export.

The original HEIC file is not modified. The browser reads it, creates a JPG version, and lets you download the result. You can keep both files if you want: the original for storage and the JPG for compatibility.

Why browser-based conversion

Photos often contain private details: faces, locations, receipts, documents, license plates, rooms, and screenshots. A simple format conversion should not require sending those files to a remote server when the work can be done locally.

What we focus on

The product stays narrow on purpose: fast loading, clear quality controls, batch download, readable guidance, and privacy language that matches how the tool actually works.

Editorial approach

The guides on this site are written for practical decisions: when to use JPG, what quality setting makes sense, why a file may get larger after conversion, and what metadata may be lost. We avoid pretending that every conversion is perfect. JPG is more compatible, but it is also a compressed format, so keeping your original HEIC files is still a good habit.
