Privacy policy for heic-to-jpg.app

Short version

The HEIC to JPG converter runs in your browser. When you choose a file, the conversion code processes it locally on your device. The selected HEIC files and the generated JPG files are not uploaded to heic-to-jpg.app by the converter.

Files you convert

Your browser needs permission to read the files you select so it can convert them. The site does not receive, store, review, or back up those photos. Downloads are created by your browser and saved wherever you choose on your device.

Because the tool is browser-based, closing the page or clearing the results removes the in-page conversion state. You should keep your original files if you need them later.

Information we may receive

Like most websites, hosting infrastructure may receive basic technical information when a page loads, such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, referrer, and timestamp. This information is used for security, debugging, abuse prevention, and reliability.

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include in that message, such as your email address, browser details, and the text of your request.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The converter does not need cookies to convert images. heic-to-jpg.app uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, approximate traffic sources, browser and device information, and aggregate usage patterns. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure visits and improve reporting. Converted HEIC and JPG files are not uploaded to Google Analytics by this converter.

Data retention

Converted photos are not retained by heic-to-jpg.app because they are not uploaded by the converter. Server logs, if collected by hosting infrastructure, are retained only as long as needed for security, debugging, and operational purposes.
